PRP Growth Factors Therapy - Non Surgical Treatment

At DHI Scotland we use a new Non Surgical Treatment for hair restoration, the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). Activated PRP is injected into the area which is suffering from hair loss in order to stimulate hair growth.

Prp Steps

PRP Hair Loss Treatment step by step:

  1. A small amount of blood (less than 50 ml) is obtained from the patient
  2. Platelet-Rich Plasma is isolated following the centrifugation of blood
  3. PRP is activated with DNA activators (thrombin) and enriched with calcium ions (e.g. calcium chloride)
  4. Activated PRP is injected into the area which is suffering from hair loss in order to stimulate hair growth

PRP Growth Factors Therapy is a Non-Surgical treatment that can be coupled with any hair transplant procedure, helping partially transected follicles in the donor area; regenerating bristles and also helping the recipient area’s implanted hair follicles prosper.

Additionally, it will reduce the formation of scabs, trauma, inflammation and erythema (redness); and help the donor area’s dermis and epidermis heal faster.
